As we wrap up the school year, after these unprecedented last few months, I wanted to take a moment to stop and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you’ve done to support the children and the staff in our district.
Parents, I know you have stepped up to try to homeschool when many of you have had no experience with that. I think it’s taught us all how hard teaching really is and how much we should appreciate our teachers. I hope that remains to be true in our world as we pull through this pandemic.
In Bryan ISD, I see such a sense of community, such a sense of optimism, and I am truly grateful to be a part of it. You are such a blessing to us in Bryan ISD. This is a community to be a part of, and to embrace. I thank you for that.
I wish you a healthy summer, I look forward to seeing you in August, and know that we will be making the best decisions that we can based on information at that time. In the meantime, remember our Essential 8 and take every moment to model and emphasize them with our children (kindness, tolerance, gratitude, philanthropy, work ethic, optimism, courage and leadership).
